Common issues and solutions for using lucette.


Connection issues

Can't connect X account

Problem: X account won't connect or authorization fails.

Solutions:

  1. Make sure you're logged into X in your browser
  2. Check that you clicked "Authorize" on X
  3. Try disconnecting and reconnecting in Settings
  4. Clear browser cache and cookies
  5. Try a different browser

Still not working? Contact support.

X account disconnected

Problem: Your X account shows as disconnected.

Solutions:

  1. Go to Settings → X Account
  2. Click "Connect with X" again
  3. Re-authorize lucette on X
  4. Your account should reconnect

Note: If this happens frequently, there may be an issue with your X account or tokens.

Scheduling issues

Can't schedule posts

Problem: Posts won't schedule or you get an error.

Solutions:

  1. Check daily limit: Free plan allows 3 posts/day
  2. Check interval: Posts must be spaced (Free: 1 hour, Plus: 15 minutes)
  3. Check scheduling window: Free (14 days), Plus (60 days)
  4. Check timezone: Make sure your timezone is set correctly

Common errors:

  • "Daily limit reached" → Wait until tomorrow or upgrade to Plus
  • "Too close to another post" → Choose a later time
  • "Outside scheduling window" → Choose a date within your plan's window

Posts not publishing

Problem: Scheduled posts aren't publishing at the scheduled time.

Solutions:

  1. Check the Failed tab for error messages
  2. Click retry on failed posts
  3. Check your X account is still connected
  4. Verify the post content is valid (not too long, etc.)

Note: lucette automatically retries failed posts, but you can also retry manually.

Wrong timezone

Problem: Posts are scheduling at the wrong time.

Solutions:

  1. Go to Settings → Timezone
  2. Verify your timezone is correct
  3. Update if needed
  4. All future posts will use the correct timezone

Note: Changing timezone doesn't affect already scheduled posts.

Import issues

RSS feed not syncing

Problem: RSS feed won't sync or shows errors.

Solutions:

  1. Check URL: Make sure the RSS feed URL is correct
  2. Verify format: Feed should be valid RSS 2.0
  3. Check accessibility: Make sure the feed is publicly accessible
  4. Try again: Click "Sync" again
  5. Remove and re-add: Try removing the feed and adding it again

Still not working? The RSS feed may be invalid or require authentication.

CSV import failing

Problem: CSV file won't import or shows errors.

Solutions:

  1. Check format: Must have "content" column header
  2. Verify length: Each post must be 1-280 characters
  3. Check file: Make sure it's a valid CSV file
  4. Try smaller file: If you have many posts, try importing in batches
  5. Check plan: CSV import is Plus only

Common errors:

  • "Invalid format" → Check column header is "content"
  • "Post too long" → Each post must be 1-280 characters
  • "Feature not available" → Upgrade to Plus for CSV import

Post issues

Can't edit post

Problem: Can't edit a scheduled post.

Solutions:

  1. Check status: You can only edit posts that are still scheduled
  2. Published posts: Can't edit posts that have already published
  3. Try again: Refresh the page and try editing again

Note: Once a post is published, you can only delete it on X, not in lucette.

Post too long

Problem: Post exceeds character limit.

Solutions:

  1. Check length: Posts must be 1-280 characters
  2. Shorten content: Reduce the post length
  3. Split into thread: Use threads for longer content (Free: 3 messages, Plus: 25 messages)

Note: lucette shows a character counter as you type.

Media not uploading

Problem: Images won't upload or show errors.

Solutions:

  1. Check format: Only JPG, PNG, GIF supported
  2. Check size: Images must be under 4MB (lucette compresses automatically)
  3. Check plan limits: Free (1 image), Plus (up to 4 images)
  4. Try again: Upload may have failed, try again
  5. Check connection: Make sure you have a stable internet connection

Account issues

Can't sign in

Problem: Can't sign in to your account.

Solutions:

  1. Check credentials: Make sure email/password are correct
  2. Reset password: Use "Forgot Password" if needed
  3. Check email: Verify your email if you just signed up
  4. Try Google sign-in: If you signed up with Google, use that method
  5. Clear cache: Clear browser cache and cookies

Wrong plan features

Problem: Features not available that should be.

Solutions:

  1. Check your plan: Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Verify upgrade: If you upgraded, make sure payment processed
  3. Refresh page: Sometimes features update after page refresh
  4. Sign out/in: Try signing out and back in

Note: Some features are Plus-only (polls, CSV import, analytics, etc.).

General issues

Page not loading

Problem: lucette page won't load or is slow.

Solutions:

  1. Check internet: Make sure you have a stable connection
  2. Refresh page: Try refreshing the page
  3. Clear cache: Clear browser cache and cookies
  4. Try different browser: Some browsers work better than others
  5. Check status: lucette may be experiencing issues

Data not saving

Problem: Changes aren't saving or posts are disappearing.

Solutions:

  1. Check connection: Make sure you have internet
  2. Save again: Try saving your changes again
  3. Refresh page: Refresh and check if changes are there
  4. Check drafts: Unsaved posts may be in drafts
