Getting started

What is lucette?

lucette is a minimalist X scheduling tool. Schedule posts and threads, then let lucette handle the rest. Simple, fast, reliable.

How do I get started?

  1. Sign up for a free account
  2. Connect your X account (one click via OAuth)
  3. Create your first post or thread
  4. Schedule it or post it now

That's it. No complex setup, no confusing options.

Do I need to pay to use lucette?

No. lucette Free lets you schedule up to 3 posts per day. Perfect for trying it out. Upgrade to Plus ($9/month) when you need more.

Scheduling

How far in advance can I schedule posts?

  • Free plan: Up to 14 days in advance
  • Plus plan: Up to 60 days in advance

What's the minimum time between posts?

  • Free plan: 1 hour between posts
  • Plus plan: 15 minutes between posts

This helps your posts feel natural, not spammy.

Can I schedule posts for specific times?

Yes. When creating a post, choose "Schedule Post" and pick your date and time. Times are shown in your timezone.

What is "Let it Flow"?

"Let it Flow" automatically schedules your posts at natural, optimal times.

  • Schedules 1-3 posts per day (customizable in Settings)
  • Posts spaced at least 3 hours apart
  • Natural times (9 AM - 6 PM in your timezone)
  • Quarter-hour intervals only
  • Respects your daily posting limits and minimum intervals

Perfect when you have multiple posts and want them distributed naturally over time.

How do I customize "Let it Flow" frequency?

Go to Settings → Flow Scheduling and choose how many posts per day you want (1, 2, or 3). The default is 3 posts per day. This setting applies to all flow scheduling, whether from the composer or bulk scheduling in the Pending queue.

Can I edit a scheduled post?

Yes. Click the edit icon on any scheduled post to change the content, media, or schedule time.

Can I delete a scheduled post?

Yes. Click the delete icon on any scheduled post. This removes it from lucette only. If it's already published on X, you'll need to delete it there too.

What happens if a post fails to publish?

Failed posts appear in the "Failed" tab. Click the retry icon to try again. lucette will automatically retry failed posts, but you can also retry manually.

Importing content

How do I import posts from an RSS feed?

  1. Go to Settings → RSS Feeds
  2. Click "Add Feed" and paste your RSS feed URL
  3. Click "Sync" to import new items
  4. Review imported posts in the Pending queue
  5. Schedule them individually or in bulk

Limits:

  • Free: 1 RSS feed
  • Plus: up to 5 RSS feeds

How often are RSS feeds synced?

RSS feeds are synced manually. Click the "Sync" button in Settings when you want to import new items. Auto-sync is coming soon.

Can I import posts from a CSV file?

Yes, if you're on the Plus plan.

  1. Prepare a CSV file with a "content" column header
  2. Add your posts (one per row, 1-280 characters each)
  3. Go to Queue → Pending tab
  4. Click "Import CSV" and select your file
  5. Review and schedule imported posts

Threads

How do I create a thread?

Note: Threads are available on the Plus plan only.

  1. Click "Create Thread" in the composer
  2. Type your first message
  3. Click "Add Message" for each additional post
  4. Schedule or post the thread

Limit: Up to 25 messages per thread (Plus plan).

How are threads published?

Threads publish sequentially. Each message publishes one after another, respecting your minimum interval settings. lucette automatically adds numbering (1/3, 2/3, 3/3, etc.).

Polls

How do I create a poll?

  1. Click "Add Poll" in the composer
  2. Type your poll question
  3. Add 2-4 options
  4. Choose duration (5 min, 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days)
  5. Schedule or post

Note: Polls are Plus plan only.

Can I add polls to threads?

No. Polls are standalone posts only. You can't add polls to threads.

Media

What image formats are supported?

JPG, PNG, and GIF images are supported.

How many images can I add?

  • Free: 1 image per post
  • Plus: Up to 4 images per post

What's the maximum image size?

Images are automatically compressed if they're over 4MB. lucette handles compression for you.

Analytics

Can I see how my posts perform?

Yes, if you're on the Plus plan. View analytics in the Published tab:

  • Views
  • Likes
  • Retweets
  • Replies
  • Engagement rate

How often are analytics updated?

Analytics are updated in real-time as engagement happens on X.

Account & billing

How do I upgrade to Plus?

  1. Go to Settings → Subscription
  2. Click "Upgrade to Plus"
  3. Complete checkout
  4. Your account upgrades immediately

Can I cancel my Plus subscription?

Yes. Go to Settings → Subscription and cancel. Your access continues until the end of your billing period.

What happens if I cancel Plus?

You'll be moved to the Free plan when your billing period ends. You'll keep access to Free plan features.

Multi-platform posting

Which platforms does lucette support?

lucette supports three platforms:

  • X - 280 characters
  • Farcaster - 1024 characters
  • Threads (Meta) - 500 characters

Connect any or all of these in Settings.

What is a primary platform?

Your primary platform is your main posting destination. You choose it in Settings. Posts always publish to your primary platform first.

How does crossposting work?

When you schedule a post with crossposting enabled:

  1. Your post publishes to your primary platform first
  2. If successful, it automatically crossposts to enabled secondary platforms
  3. If the primary fails, no crossposting occurs

You can toggle crossposting per-platform in Settings, or per-post in the composer.

What about character limits?

When posting to multiple platforms, the most restrictive character limit applies. For example, if posting to X (280) and Farcaster (1024), your post must be 280 characters or less.

lucette shows character limits in the preview for each platform.

Can I crosspost multi-post threads?

Multi-post threads (created with the thread builder) publish to each enabled platform. Each platform handles threads in its native format.

Technical

Are my accounts secure?

Yes. lucette uses OAuth 2.0 for all platform connections. We never see or store your passwords. All tokens are encrypted at rest.

What permissions does lucette need?

lucette only requests minimal permissions for each platform:

  • Read your profile (username, avatar)
  • Post on your behalf
  • Read post metrics (for analytics, Plus only)

We never access your DMs, private messages, or passwords.

Can I use lucette on mobile?

lucette is a web app that works on mobile browsers. A native mobile app is planned for the future.

  • 3 posts per day

  • 14 days scheduling window
  • 1 RSS feed
  • 1 image per post
  • No thread support (Plus only)

What are the Plus plan limits?

  • Unlimited posts per day
  • Threads up to 25 messages
  • 15-minute minimum between posts
  • 60 days scheduling window
  • Up to 5 RSS feeds
  • Up to 4 images per post
  • Polls, CSV import, analytics included
